You can now rate RSS readers
October 18th, 2005

I’ve added a rating engine to the main area of Feed Readers, so you can now rate your favourite (or least favourite) apps. Once there is enough ratings, I’ll add a “Best Rated” page which will reflect your votes and will also have effect on the “Best RSS Readers” section. A review engine is coming soon too.

If you have any comments or suggestions, such as inclusion of new apps or things you’d like to see on the site, please send them to suggest at feed-readers dot com or post a comment below.

Thanks!

SearchFox RSS Beta
September 12th, 2005

SearchFox RSS is an RSS reader that aggregates and personalizes feeds. It uses machine learning technology to automatically rank and personalize incoming feeds to reflect each reader’s unique interests.

“The web is moving away from a search-centered model to one where individuals subscribe to the information they want to read. SearchFox uses machine learning technology to automatically rank and personalize incoming feeds to reflect each reader’s unique interests. Our RSS reader learns by watching what individuals and the entire community find interesting, taking into account various inputs such as the source, author, and topic of an RSS entry. Existing RSS readers only show information chronologically, which quickly leads to information overload. SearchFox makes RSS easier and immediately useful, so everyone can be part of the new web experience.”
